Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure & Microsoft Platform Administrator to manage and support our on-premise and cloud IT systems. The role includes managing Windows servers, Microsoft 365, cloud services, network infrastructure, and end-user support to ensure smooth and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Server Management
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage virtualization using Hyper-V.
- Monitor server performance and system availability.
- Manage backup and recovery for servers and virtual machines.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions and failover systems.
- Perform regular system patching and updates.
- Manage and installation of enterprise level applications & servers.
Microsoft 365 & Admin Center Administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 Admin Center, including user, license, and group management.
- Manage Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
- Implement and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and security policies.
- Monitor service health and resolve incidents using Admin Center.
- Manage email security, spam filtering, and compliance settings.
Cloud & Azure Management
- Manage Azure Virtual Machines, storage, and networking.
- Support hybrid cloud and on-premise integration.
- Monitor cloud usage and optimize costs.
- Implement cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Network & Endpoint Management
- Manage LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewall (Watchguard) configurations.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Implement endpoint security, antivirus, and device policies.
- Support device management using Intune (basic level, if applicable).
User Support & IT Service Management
- Provide L1/L2 technical support to end users (50 users).
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and problems as per SLA.
- Manage change and release activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party support teams.
- Maintain the hardware and software inventory.
- Support procurement of new devices and vendor management.
Security & Compliance
- Implement security best practices for servers, cloud, and endpoints.
- Monitor vulnerabilities and apply security patches.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Handle data protection and access control policies.
- Assist in incident response and security investigations.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.
- Research and recommend new tools and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform and Teams.
- Experience with Hyper-V and virtualization.
- Basic to intermediate experience in Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewall).
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager.
- Experience in cloud migration projects.
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft Partner Portal.
- Manage distributors portals like Redignton, Ingram.
- Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, Azure, ITIL, etc.).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage.
